About The Race

Stuff Your Face Race is a professionally-timed relay event designed for fun, camaraderie and fundraising. This unique event challenges teams and/or individuals to relay -- and eat -- their way to the finish line of a 3.1 or 6.2 mile course along Lake Baldwin (Orlando), all in an effort to raise funds for IMPOWER's life-changing programs and services.

Why a relay? The relay represents 4 tenets that fuel our overall well-being and positive mental health, including:

* Teamwork - The benefits of connection and a shared purpose or goal

* Community - The mental health boost we get when we give & serve.

* Exercise  - connecting nature with exercise results in an improved mood & energy level and decreases stress!

* Laughter  - We take our mission seriously, but not ourselves! A healthy dose of humor goes a long way to our well-being.

So how does it work? The distance and the number of people you choose to run with will determine the number of "legs" in your relay and the number of food stations you must complete on the course. For example, a four person team registered for the 10K will have four (4) 2.5K "legs" (approximately 1.55 miles each) and four (4) food stations - one located at the end of each leg near the transition point. Runner #1 will run their leg, "stuff your face" with a food item and then pass the baton to the next team member. The process would repeat until you cross the finish line.

Here's how it breaks down:

Individual 5K and Two-Person Teams will complete the first two legs and the first two food stations.

Individual 10K and Four-Person Teams will complete all four legs and all four food stations.

The route is:

  • Leg 1:  1.5-ish mile run & BRIO's "Tomato Caprese Bruschetta" (or "Tomato Bruschetta" for our vegan friends)
  • Leg 2:  1.5-ish mile run & Hot Dog Heaven's all beef Vienna hot dog in a steamed poppyseed bun
  • Leg 3:  1.5-ish mile run & Gators Dockside (item pending)
  • Leg 4:  1.5-ish mile run & 4 Rivers "Smoked Jalapeno's"

Have an allergy, dietary restriction or aversion to something at one of the food tents?  We can’t swap meals or modify the menu but we can offer substitute eaters! You can't skip the tent, and you won't be eligible for awards, but you can make a $5 donation to have one of our designated volunteers eat for you. Just make your selection when you register.
